There’s something about Italian weddings that I can’t get enough of, and it’s more than just the cannolis and espresso. So when I talked to Alicia & Phil about shooting their wedding, I was all in… they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse…(couldn’t help myself). Did I catch you saying it in your best Don Corleone voice? Fuhgeddaboudit!
REAL Italian weddings especially emphasize the love and importance of family, and this wedding didn’t fall short by any means. At times, it didn’t feel like a celebration of just two people, it really felt like a celebration about the melding of two great families. That’s such a great way to start a marriage, because I have definitely learned that even though family is where we get most of our idiosyncrasies traditions, it’s also family that is there when we need help; with dinner, with moving, with watching the kids, with money, or with pretty much anything else.
I’ve been excited to be at this wedding since we met for their engagement shoot last summer. Alicia & Phil are the best kind of people to work with, easy going, comfortable, and just a lot of fun to be around. I wish you both the best in your marriage, and I know I’ll be seeing you around!
La gioia di questo giorno vi accompagni per tutta la vita.
