The wedding day of Emily & Robert nailed the personal touch. And I give them a lot of credit because there are so many “standard” parts of a wedding, it’s easy to fall into similar outlooks on them. One great thing they had going for them in this department is that Robert is a US Marine. I mean, who doesn’t love a guy who puts it all on the line for the protection of others hero. Another ace they had was that Emily’s father is a Catholic deacon, which means he was able to be the officiant for the wedding. That was something I have not seen before and it does something great for the depth of the ceremony. My favorite photo so far is definitely a non-traditional shot, and it’s part of this post. Emily’s mom is helping her dad with his stole as he prepares to take on a different role in the ceremony with bride and groom to be behind him. What a beautiful image. Embodied in it is the service of a successful marriage and the anticipation of sending off a new one in a way that very few others could. I hope you see that one through my eyes. Anyway, I’ve been long-winded so I shall commence with passing on the goods.
As an aside, I like to lead my posts off with what I consider a strong image. This one, also the first time I think I’ve ever led with the groom, I consider the strongest. Thank you for your service, Robert. Stay safe brother.
